History

Linda Holland Roberts showed musical creativity at a very early age and began formal musical training at age five. Before she was a teen she was playing for church services, accompanying choirs and soloists, and composing original melodies. In 1972 Linda received a Bachelor of Music Education degree with emphasis in piano and organ and began her teaching career. Soon after, she married Eldon Roberts, a young teacher with a penchant for writing. Combining their talents, they began to write music for special occasions such as baptisms, baby dedications, anniversaries, weddings, and school and church programs.

Realizing that God had placed her in a musical ministry, Linda began to spend more time composing. Together, Linda and Eldon have written songs for small family gatherings as well as children's programs, theme songs for retreats, evangelistic series, television productions, and nation-wide religious youth congresses.

Memorable Baby Dedication Songs was published as a result of Dr. Kay Kuzma hearing one of Linda's songs. Dr. Kuzma had been looking for someone to create music for a baby dedication sourcebook (Memorable Baby Dedications) she was authoring and asked Linda to write songs that corresponded to the topics included in her book. This began the serious work of transforming handwritten material into professional sheet music and books.
