Like a Tree

VERSE 1 Make us a family like a tree planted by God's stream of love. May our branches lift His praise, Worshipping His Son above. Make our roots grow deep and wide, anchoring this family. May they feed on God's true Word, Nourished and renewed by Thee

VERSE 2 Make our branches bud and bloom, Sweetening the time we share. May they bear the fruit of peace, Showing each God's love and care. Make our tree grow strong and straight With a trunk that will not break. May we know You as our strength Through the stormy times that shake.

REFRAIN Jesus, bless our family; Guide us as we look to Thee. Grant that we may loyal be, Strong and sturdy like a tree.

VERSE 3 Make our tree a shelter safe For this child, a place to play. Filled with laughter, joy and love, And a special place to pray.

REFRAIN (after verse 3) Jesus, bless our family. Guide this child we bring to Thee. Grant that he/she may also be Strong and sturdy like a tree.
