Jesus Bless the Little Children

He was out there on the hillside And they crowded 'round Him so. "Oh, dear Master, please come bless us; We've no other place to go." But His helpers kept on saying When the mothers came His way, "No, the Master cannot help you, Please, just go away!" But the mothers, how they pleaded For their children oh so small. "Let the Master bless our children." Begged the mothers one and all. Then the Master, as He heard them said, "Don't make them turn away. Let them come for blessing On this dedication day."

Chorus: Jesus bless these children dear. May they grow in Your light. Give them wisdom, give them courage, Give them treasures of delight. Keep them safe from all harm, Loved secure in Your care. Bless these little children, dear. Heaven's blessings with them share.

Now today, the fathers and the mothers Come to Him once more. With their children in their arms So earnestly they now implore, "Bless our children, bless them Jesus, As we give them now toYou. Just like those of Jewish mothers, Bless our children, too." Jesus says to little children, "Come, like children long ago. Hold My hand and I will guide you; Hear My voice so sweet and low. Ne'r forget how much I love you; Know I hear you when you pray. I will bless the children On this dedication day."
